Good morning! It sure is hot here. According to the weatherman, our temps are in the high 90's, but the temperature humidity index pushes it up over 100. I really don't do well in the heat. We went to the store Tuesday afternoon and it was really hard to walk into the store and then back to the car. I told Michael that I think that our apartment was cooler than the grocery store! He agreed.
Today - after lunch - we're headed over to Commerce to my daughter's. She kicked her boyfriend out and he took just about all her food along with threatening to kill her. She doesn't have any money and only enough food for a few sandwiches. So, I've been gathering up stuff and picked up a few things for her at the store. We can't spend too much. When you're on a fixed income, you have to make your money stretch through the whole month. Sometimes that's not easy!
Anyway, we're going to have a talk with her. She needs to make better choices in men. These last ones have been real winners! No one wants to work and looking for a job is nearly impossible for them. Monica is 38 years old - you would think she would have better judgement. We'll just have to wait and see what happens!
Otherwise, there's nothing special going on here. I hope you all are keeping cool and taking it as easy as possible. You all have a wonderful day! Hugs!
Shannon - I hope Dennis can hold up in that heat. I know I couldn't. But, I'll say a prayer for him. I'm glad Ruby is okay. I'm sure she'll be back to her old self in a few days.
Janine - This kind of heat can make anyone sick. I hope Russ is okay. Please remind him to drink plenty of water. Actually, it would be better for him to have Gatoraid or something like that. He needs to stay hydrated. You sure don't want him to get heat stroked.
