Good morning everyone - and Happy Memorial Day. It's just another "day" here,
tho for a change, I it isn't raining - I think it's rained almost every Memorial Day Week-end since we moved here from Sacramento. I think
it's some kind of "holiday law" for rain to be required on Memorial Day week-end since for so many people it's the start of the summer
camping season here
. My daughter and her ex-husband had a really nice
camping trailer and always went camping on Memorial Day week-end! It was a little "overcast" yesterday - so you never know what the day will bring.
Weather forecasts have been known to be wrong.
Nothing exciting on the agenda here. I'm waiting for some clothes to finsh drying so I can put the next load in the dryer. Such an exciting life!
The kids are all fine. They were so happy yesterday, I found a store who has inexpensive marrow bones. The store here in town carries them, but they're
so big, I have to buy two or three packages - and they average about $4/package, makes it pretty expensive for "treats" for this pack. One of the
stores in Pullman (where I go almost every day since that's where client shops) will cut them smaller - and they always have them for $1.29/lb (sometimes
cheaper) - they will cut them smaller so it's usually about $2 for enough for the pack. Last time I went there I picked up a couple of packages so they
were HAPPY beagles. I think it's ridiculous for stores to charge so much for bones! They used to give them away.
Today is my granddaughter's 24th birthday. Wish I could be with her. I was there when she was born - what a Memorial Day week-end THAT was. Her mom was
in labor for 3 days - took her to hospital 2 nights in a row - and they would send her home since she wasn't "dilated" enough. Finally on
Saturday she got serious about it - and Alicia joined us at 5:25 pm on 5-25-85!
Whatever YOU have planned for your day, we hope it's a great one for you!
Big hugs and lots of puppy kisses,
Glenda 'n the pack
